The apparatus comprises a central 5 panel and a pair of side panel hingeably coupled via at least one pair of gripping arms. A central wheel is mounted on the central panel and a side wheel is mounted on each of the side panels respectively to provide movement to the apparatus. Further, a pair of the magnet is mounted on the central panel opposite to each other in a spaced apart configuration to generate a magnetic field. A 10 electronic unit is mounted on the apparatus to detect the MFL generated by the pair of magnets to determine the presence of anomaly on the surface of the pipe.
