Little bit about SRM team WRO

In the year 2017, I was chosen to become Technical Head of Association of Mechatronics Engineers. As I had a high post in SRM team ROBOCON. I founded SRM Team WRO with collaboration two different departments, a feat never done before in SRM, Mechatronics (AME) and E&I (SRM Team Robocon). Forming and leading a team gave me a huge opportunity to learn. I was able to get total funding of 0.14 million rupees. The team received 3rd place in the year 2018 in World Robotic Olympia under Advanced Robotic Catagory. This team participates in World Robotic Olympiad under Advanced Robotics Catagory.

Problem statement and theme (WRO - ARC)

The task was basically to make a fully autonomous Tetris solving robot i.e. there would be wooden blocks (tetracubes) as shown in the picture. They will be placed randomly on the arena Robot has to identify the blocks and select and pick up and place it in stacking form in order to solve the tetrics puzzle.
